June 5, Friday. Potluck picnic. Spanish Landing Park off North Harbor Drive. 12 NOON arrival.

June 5, Friday. Dinner 6 pm. Tom Ham's Lighthouse. Dressy casual recommended.

June 6, Saturday. Lunch-dinner cookout at Auring's place. Games, songs, jokes, talks...

Direction to PICNIC:

From I-5 Northbound

* Take San Diego Airport / Hawthorn Street exit (signs will direct you onto westbound Hawthorn Sreet).

* Proceed to N. Harbor Drive and turn right into N.. Harbor Drive

* Go about a mile and pass Harbor Island Drive. When you get to the next stop light make a

* Left turn into Spanish Landing Park which is the next street after Harbor Island Dr. Park you car and go right passing the restrooms. The picnic area is under the trees next to the BBQ pit by the shore.

From I-5 Southbound

* Take San Diego Airport / Sassafras Street exit. This puts you onto Kettner Boulevard.

* Take Kettner to the traffic light at Sassafras Street and turn right.

* Proceed down the hill to the traffic light at Pacific Highway and turn left.

* Take Pacific Highway about 1/2 mile to Laurel Street and turn right.

* Take Laurel Street to the next light, N. Harbor Drive and turn right

* Proceed to N. Harbor Drive and turn right into N. Harbor Drive

* Go about a mile and pass Harbor Island Drive. When you get to the next stop light make a

* Left turn into spanish Landing Park. Park your car and go right passing the restrooms. The picnic area is under the trees next to the BBQ pit by the shore.

From I-15 to State Route 163

* Take State Route 163 Southbound to I-5 Norht and follow directions above for I-5.

Directions to Auring's place;

From San Diego area:

* Get into I-15 Northbound

* Take I-215 North at the split after passing SR 79 Indio Pechanga Indian Reservation and Winchester

* Exit on McCall Blvd going right

* Pass Encanto Street (there is a Valero gas station on your right, pass Menifee Valley Medical Center on your left).

* Pass Menifee Road and enter Heritage Lake community not gated

* Right turn on Heritage Lake Drive (lake and club house on your left)

* Pass Lake Ridge Drive, and on the second street make a

* Left turn on Beacon Hill and quick left on Watermark Drive. Stop at 27859 Watermark Dr house is third on leftside.

From Los Angeles area:

* Get into State Route 60 Eastbound

* Merge into I-215 South

* Pass Ethanac exit then coming to the next exit

* Exit McCall Blvd going left over the bridge

* Pass Encanto street (Valero gas station on your right, pass Menifee Valley Medical Center on your left)

* Pass Menifee Road and enter Heritage Lake community not gated

* Right turn on Heritage Lake Drive

* Pass Ridge Lake Drive, and on the second street make a

* Left turn on Beacon Hill and quick left on Watermark Drive. Stop at 27859 Watermark Drive, house is third on leftside.

Direction to the Dinner Place:

From Spanish Landing Park where we have the picnic, make a right turn into Harbor Drive heading south. When you come to the first stop light that is the Harbor Island Drive make a right turn and follow that as it curves to the right. Drive about half a mile to the end of the road. The Tom Ham's Lighthouse is there at the cul de sac.
