Here is a heads up regarding our class
reunion. I had the priviledge to have a get together
with Ver Hopkins and Aurora Milo in Sn Diego last week,
and we discussed what the reunion planning's
progress.
So far, it is still at a
standstill and nothing is in motion yet. It seems
everyone here in California has 2 or 3 jobs to shore up
the U.S. economy and logistics is the major problem.
Contacting somebody is next to impossible. Our contact
list must be updated to be able to get hold some or most
of our classmates.
We had some brainstorming and
here are some items we discussed. Please feel free to
add any ideas, we shall discuss it and pass it on to the
rest for consensus.
1.) We have to set up a timeline,
the date, how long, spring or summer, etc.
2.) A proposed 3 different
venues should be entertained.
a) SAN DIEGO- LOS ANGELES
b) D.C-Virginia
c) VANCOUVER, BC CANADA
d)
Central location venue is also in the running , like
CHICAGO. But somebody must be willing to take
charge and fully commit for this to materialize.
e) Any other venues that you may find possible....let us
know.
3) A proposed calendar of
activities should be included by the host city
to evaluate how interesting and worth seeing
it, as you spend all this time and money with
your friends and families.
4) To send out surveys to get
commitments and choice of venues.
5) To form committees to
oversee each logistics.
6) To request a monetary
deposit with their commitments to cover paperwork,
legwork, deposits to various companies, like lodging,
transport and entertainment,etc.
Now, here is the beauty of
it all. How do you entice or convince all these friends
and classmates of ours to make this one and probably
only grand reunion we will ever put together before we
start falling off this face of the earth. REMEMBER, we
are not getting any younger. We are all approaching the
autumn of our lives and I hope most of us will still be
around when we finally meet up again. THINK ABOUT IT.
Those of us who pick up these initiaitves are trully
committed in renewing our friendships, genuinely value
the meaning of a friend, best friend, partner or even
former loved ones, and as we all approach this time in
our lives, you still want to take a glimpse from
the past, the good times we had and the pains and
laughter too. I hope you share my sentiments as I really
would like for all of us to meet again, to share some
more laughter, some more tears, some more endless
reminiscing, and some more music and songs.
THINK ABOUT IT.
